When Katy Perry Feels Insecure She Googles Katy Perry Hot

Yes, even Katy Perry Googles herself. After posting a serious of hilariously unflattering photos to her Instagram account this week, Perry was feeling a little bit down about herself, and decided to throw some choice words into the search bar: “katy perry hot.”

As a result, she came up with this ridiculously sexy shot in daisy dukes and a bra, and posted it to Instagram, not as a reminder for her fans but as a pick-me-up for herself. “Was feeling insecure about my last two posts so,” she joked in the caption.

Thank you, Katy, for being real enough not only to post embarrassing photos for your 62.6 million fans, but also to admit when you’re feeling “insecure” about yourself. With just one post, Perry demonstrated to the world just how she practices self-love—and it’s so easy for anyone to replicate when they need a boost of self-confidence.

Say Goodbye to Your Summer Bod Caramel MMs Are Coming

Your newest candy obsession has arrived—right when you were going to start working on your summer bod. M&M’s announced a new flavor this week, Caramel, just in time to celebrate National Caramel Day on Wednesday.

The flavor combines your favorite salty caramel chews with the candied chocolate M&M’s is famous for, resulting in a velvety, rich flavor with a surprise crunch from the colorful candy shell. Think Rolos, with a little more pop.

The new flavor doesn’t hit shelves until May, but thankfully, this amazing iteration is not limited edition and will join the ranks of Peanut, Milk Chocolate, and Peanut Butter, as “the top flavor variants within the M&M’s brand,” according to a press release. As the “fourth largest flavor partition within chocolate,” caramel was the only taste left the M&M’s brand had yet to explore, until now. The candies are snackable (aka: easy to eat a lot of) which of course, lead me to consume the entire package in just one sitting.

We are so excited for this permanent addition into the M&M’s family, and can’t wait to raid the candy shelves at our local drug store come May.

With the help of several pals and their respective vehicles, the teen put together a clever two-and-a-half minute clip re-enacting the memorable scene—appropriate lyrics thrown into the original tune.

It’s no secret that the NBA player has major skills on the basketball court, but as it turns out he is also quite the singer. The Golden State Warriors guard appeared on The Late Late Show‘s latest segment of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, and his vocal abilities were more than impressive. In the clip, the pair spends the afternoon playing mini golf, but Curry is really itching to get his sing on. However, Corden is hesitant about the idea. “Look, everyone thinks they can Carpool Karaoke. Everyone thinks they’ve got what it takes,” the comedian said. “He’s got to show me. He’s got to earn the right to do it.”

After doing some vocal warm-ups, Corden put on the Disney song “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana—a favorite of Curry’s 4-year-old daughter Riley—and the basketball star nailed every single word. He even wore his signature mouthpiece as he belted out the tune. Clearly impressed, the host put on “Love Is an Open Door” from Frozen, and the pair performed a winning duet.

I hate him.”

What Is Going on With This Wax Statue of Zac Efron

Let me tell you why I love Zac Efron so much. It starts with his amazing dance and vocal skills and continues with his 36-pack abs. Listen, I don’t care what you think, 17 Again is a fabulous film and don’t even get me STARTED on High School Reunion. I’ve heard Neighbors (parts 1 and 2) was funny, but I wouldn’t know. (I basically turned my television on mute, and just watched his face. No need for sound. Just your face, Zac. Just your face.)

So, You’d think Z-Efron fans like myself would be itching to get a peek at his wax figure, which debuted today at Madame Tussauds in Berlin. Making it to Madame Tussauds is equivalent to EGAT’ing, if you ask me, but I was excited to be able to stare that chiseled jawline and those piercing blue eyes without Zac Efron the human getting creeped out.

But then…

Kudos to the team for getting his eyes correctly shaped, but let’s talk about a few things that went wrong here.

What’s with the mustache? When was the last time he had a mustache? Who is this weird, mustachioed imposter?

Matthias Nareyek/Getty

Now let’s talk about that setting. While we applaud the nod to Efron’s love of sports… WHY IS HE IN A WETSUIT? Literally, what is the point of a wax statue of Zac Efron in a full body unitard? Shorts and sandals? No shirt? Anything? Bueller?

Also: Who. Are. These. Girls?

Matthias Nareyek/Getty

Joelina Drews, who is a 21-year-old singer/songwriter (we looked her up because we’re jealous) attended the opening with about 514 of her friends. Ok, maybe just nine other girls who she may or may not know. But either way, 10 girls surrounding my main man is far too many. So that is wrong, as well. Just so much wrong.

Youll Never Guess Which Star Crushes Hard on Ed Sheeran

Stars, they’re just like us. It seems when it comes to celebrity crushes, no one is immune to the dulcet tunes of Ed Sheeran—not even Eva Longoria.

“I’m obsessed with Ed Sheeran right now. I mean, who isn’t?” she told the Radio Times. The English singer was even lucky enough to have been a part of the actress’s marriage proposal. Sort of.

“I’m obsessed, like when my husband proposed to me, he filmed it and that video is set to the Ed Sheeran song ‘Thinking Out Loud,'” she explained, referring to her epic December 2015 engagement to now-husband, Jose Antonio Baston. “You know the one: ‘And darling, I will be loving you till we’re 70 … maybe we found love right where we are …’. Obsessed.”

Mischa Barton’s Back and Looking Better Than Ever in a Bikini-Clad Photo Shoot

The former O.C. star is staging her return to the spotlight, and from what we can see, she’s about to make quite the splash.

Mischa Barton, 31, was spotted in Malibu on Monday, modeling for a 138 Water photo shoot. Water bottle in tow, of course, the actress posed in a patterned bikini top, which she paired with a cropped black jacket and matching skinny jeans. Barton’s look is totally living up to her Instagram handle, @mischamazing—seriously she looks great!

In addition to her modeling gig, Mischa’s also currently filming a horror film with Denise Richards, eerily titled The Toybox.

Barton’s been updating her Insta’ followers with photos from the set.

Not sure if this is a costume, but the former child star’s casual attire is totally reminiscent of the late Marissa Cooper’s signature style. Regardless, we’re loving it.

The 6 Biggest Ways HBO’sBig Little Lies Differed from the Book

In case you missed it, HBO’s buzziest, chicest mini-series Big Little Lies aired its finale on Sunday night. The episode stayed pretty true to the novel, delivering the same twists–with some slight adjustments. Here, the biggest differences from novel to adaptation, for better, or for worse. Spoilers ahead, obviously.

Avenue Q

Loading contents

Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) does work part time at a community theater and is working on putting on a show, but it’s not Avenue Q and the book does not dedicate nearly as much time to the production. In the book, it serves more as Madeline’s way of proving that she does work and is not a full-time mommy.

In HBO’s retelling, Celeste (Nicole Kidman) and Perry (Alexander Skarsgard) go to therapy together (at first, that is). In the book version: Celeste goes alone and seeks out a therapist specializing in battered women. She selects one a few towns over so that no one there would recognize her—which lines up with her idea of keeping up appearances of a perfect life. But when we do get to Celeste’s one-on-one sessions, everything—the denial, the acceptance, and finding the back-up apartment—goes down pretty much exactly how the book tells it.

Liane Moriarty’s book really only tells the story from Jane (Shailene Woodley), Celeste, and Madeline’s point of view. But, oh man, was I glad to see this side of Renata (Laura Dern), who was not explored in the least in the novel. Lauren Dern, you are seriously my hero. Also, fun fact, in the novel, Renata’s husband has been cheating on her with the French nanny the whole time, so she moves to London with little Amabella.

Madeline Is a Faithful Wife

This is the one that bothered me most. Madeline and Ed’s (Adam Scott) fraught marriage is pretty much a non-issue in the book. Yes, they do have a conversation stemming from Ed’s insecurity over Madeline’s somewhat obsessive anger toward her ex-husband, but she assures him that she loves Ed, not Nathan (James Tupper). But, book Madeline is not a cheater. There’s no Joseph, no Tori, and no Avenue Q. Madeline does make questionable choices when interfering in her friends and kids lives, but her stable and happy marriage with Ed is one of her most redeeming qualities. TV Madeline is much less likable (although Reese Witherspoon can make you fall in love with any character she plays). Plus, the show glosses over her heartbreaking relationship with her ex-husband, who left Madeline and baby Abigail when she was just days old. Nathan pulled the classic “going out to get diapers and never came back” trope, leaving Madeline to raise her daughter as a single mother, until 10 years later, *poof* he wants back in their lives. Abigail, who probably didn’t realize her mother’s loss at the time, welcomes him back with open arms, which understandably, breaks her mother’s heart, leading to a strained relationship when she moves in with her once-absent dad.

Saxon Banks

This was another pretty big departure from the novel. Saxon Banks was the man who Jane thought raped her, although in the end we know it was really Perry. Book Perry borrowed his cousin’s name, “Saxon Banks,” for the night, in order to ensure his infidelity stays a secret (way to throw your cousin under the bus, Perry). When Jane tells Madeline and Celeste her rapist’s name, think they know the “true” identity of Ziggy’s father: Celeste’s cousin-in-law. Celeste keeps that information to herself, though, not wanting to out the fact that her married cousin is an adulterer. The “Saxon Baker” plotline of the TV show never happens, and in the book, the truth comes out when Jane finally meets Perry at trivia night, like in the show.

The Big Reveal

HBO stayed very true to the important plot twists: Perry is Ziggy’s father and Bonnie is the one who kills Perry. But the way it went down in the novel was slightly different than the show. All of the adults—Madeline and Ed, Celeste and Perry, Bonnie and Nathan, and Jane—are standing outside on an upper deck of the school overlooking, you guessed it, the ocean. Jane recognizes Perry, telling him that the last time they met, he said his name was Saxon Banks. Celeste now realizes that her husband isn’t just a domestic abuser, he’s also a rapist. Perry tells Celeste his night with Jane meant nothing, and she throws a drink in his face, which, of course, enrages him. He backhands her, hard, throwing her across the porch. An infuriated Bonnie pushes him, and he falls back from her yoga-toned arm strength, toppling over the balcony. Another important piece of information left out of the show: Bonnie grew up with an abusive father, and understandably, has no patience for cowardly, abusive husbands. In the novel, right before the big push is where she delivers her most epic line: “Your children see!” evoking his son’s clearly learned violent habits. “We see! We f—ing see!” Go, Bonnie!
